Lex

Lex is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed who has been professionally training dogs since 2017. They have a wide variety of experience teaching group classes, doing private sessions, working as a Veterinary Assistant, and working as a trainer in a dog shelter for over a year. Lex loves to continue to learn all they can about training animals and has completed the CATCH Dog Trainers Academy Pro course, Karen Pryor Academy Puppy Start Right for Instructors, Shelter Playgroup Alliance Cohort Modules, Michael Shikashio's Master Course - Aggression in Dogs, and the Fear Free Shelter Program Core Modules.

Lex's favorite thing about teaching is seeing the canine - human bond grow and helping owners learn how to read their dog's body language. They spend their free time with their spouse and their two dogs, two snakes, southern toad, and 3 goldfish. They have an anxious, toy-loving Mini Australian Shepherd and a goofy rescue Boxer mix that they dabble in Agility, Rally, FastCAT, and Obedience with when they aren't exploring hiking trails.
